LIA Schedule

Our Reading LIA was supposed to be this past week, however it has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 9/4 and Wednesday, 9/5. Students will be taking this assessment during our Reading Block.

FAIR Correction

We will be taking FAIR this coming Friday, August 31, not Monday like the newsletter listed. Just a reminder we will also be taking LIA Reading this Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30. All testing will occur during the Reading Block.

HELP!

Hello All!!
Please help us with each of the following:
- All paperwork needs to be returned ASAP.
- Spelling Calendars and Reading/Writing Logs are signed and returned DAILY for check.
-Planners need to be signed DAILY.
- Newsletters will come home again on Friday. PLEASE sign and return for check on Monday. The newsletter will be returned to each student on Monday.....PROMISE:) (Sorry the mix ups this week)
- Students will be reminded to bring home AR books DAILY. (Mrs. Cribbs' homeroom will go to the library next week.) Students are to bring books back every day for in class use.
- If you have reading/writing questions please email or call Mrs. Cribbs. If you have math/science questions please email or call Ms. Ruiz.

Code of Conduct Books/First Day

We sent home the pink Code of Conduct books today. In it you will find a photo permission form. Please sign and return that form ASAP. You can just rip it out and keep the rest!

What a wonderful first day we had!! We brushed up on rules and procedures today and will continue to do so throughout the week. Tomorrow we start working with our different focus skills for this nine weeks! Yay!! It's going to be so much fun learning with you this year!! We love you.....already!!!

Open House

It was so nice meeting all of you and your families tonight! We can tell it's going to be an exciting year! Thank you for listening and for your kind words. We hope we did not overwhelm you. We are so excited to meet all of you tomorrow!!!! Remember to report to the Auditorium at 5:30. Mrs. Hiers and Mrs. Lewis will release you to our classrooms. Bring your class supplies if you have them. We can't wait!

Class Supplies

It was brought to my attention that an 1 inch binder was not on the Third Grade Supply List. We will need each to student to purchase one of these, for keeping their daily planner and homework organized. Thanks so much!

Welcome Letter Correction

In the all excitement of getting our Welcome Letters out, we missed a typo. The Open House/Meet the Teacher Event is August 16, 2012 @ 5:30. You will be meeting in the Multipurpose Room first, for general information and then you will come to our classrooms after. We will most likely be meeting in my room for the presentation. We can't wait to meet you!
